Placed an online order during a one day sale. The sale was 4/$20 on the companies hemp product line, as well as 42% off other itemes in the store. Sale was dated 4/20/2017. The order was approved, pre-authorized on my card and then denied by the company after a few days. According to the customer service representative, the company was not willing to honor their advertised sale prices. The representative was not able to provide me a reason the order had been cacelled. The Body Shop is not registered with the better business bureau. Poor company ethics, poor customer service, false advertising of sale. Would not recommend purchasing from this company.

Online customer "care" is almost non-existent

Was unable to log in with my usual info, tried calling, was on hold for nearly a half hour with no response, gave up, tried chat. After 20 minutes, got a response, but all my queries and questions were answered with, "I don't have that information", or "I don't know, I will send this to the relevant team and get right back to you" (did not get back, after two days and holding....). Took two days to send me a link to reset password, and it did not work. Their products are okay, but definitely not worth the hassle and lack of coherent, functional and truthful customer service reps. My last order was packed like a garbage bag of discards thrown into the mailing carton with inadequate packing. I was surprised and disappointed, and I definitely don't have the time, patience or money to spend with this company and their careless ways. Lots of competition out there, many with superior products and excellent customer care. Give them a try, I certainly intend to.

I bought products from bellevue square body shop, WA for an offer of buy 3 get 3 free. I bought vitamin E cream for $32, vitamin E cream for$22, and Rose face pack for $28.With the above products i got 3 items free.The purchase was made on 10th december.The sales lady asked me about opening membership card and that i will get 10% off which i got after opening my account.IMy final bill was $90 and change.

After i returned home i used vitamin e cream only once which instantly dried up.Since i bought 2 packs of vitamin e cream i thought it proper to return the items .On 12th december at 10:30 in the morning i went to the body shop bellevue square,WA and expressed my desire to return the items. I wanted to buy ginger shampoo and vitamin e cream exclusive for dry skin. I went for buy 2 get one offer and got one free gift which was again ginger shampoo. I bought 3 travel packs of face packs also worth 5 $.So the total came to $14+22+5$=$39 and with taxes comes to near about $43.The sales lady said i can go for exchange but she didnt inform me that i will lose all my perks like 10% and 10$ off .

Had she informed me i could go for complete new purchase returning all previous products instead of exchange.Also she returned me only $35:90 from exchange which should have to be $90-43=47$.SO the refund was supposed to be $47 but i was returned only$35:90.Counting my 10% off on $39 had to be about $4 . So the final figure which body shop company owes me is $12+$4=$16.I hope company will refund my money as soon as possible

Gave credit card information but order not made.

I ordered two items, gave my information, including my credit card number, and I was suddenly brought back to the home page. I contacted costumer service and they said there is no record of any order but assured me that my credit card information is safe. Then they said to place the order again. Not likely! Now they have my number, expiration date and security code. I told them that I am an attorney and that I have made a record of this. Hopefully that will deter any wrongdoing. But at the very least, this is unacceptable service. The customer service agent also said that they are "still updating their website." How long is "still"? This seems pretty basic service.

False advertisement

The site is promoting 40%-75% off on several items. Once items are added to the cart, the promotion (sale) price does not convert on several items. I have contacted The Body Shop and there is still no resolution or compensation for what they have promised. This is unacceptable and has gone on for two days now. At what point in time do they or will they resolve this matter. In addition, I am unable to change the shipping address. I can only ship to the billing address listed on my account. If this is a gift, do I need to ship to myself first and then to the recipient? Having to pay an additional shipping cost is ridiculous. I would hope that this company soon get a website that operable.

I had purchased the body shop british rose instant glow body butter . I had purchased this last year and has a epiry date in december 2018 and the body cream has already been smelly . Though it was their new product it has come like this . And when i told in the store in the mumbai malls they havent replied anything . This syas they dont want to connect more people .

Just now returned from body shop so disgusting.Had bought moisturing vitamin e big and small pack and along with that rose face pack on 10 th december having buy 3 get 3 offer from body shop bellevue square mall washington.I combined with the offer 2 ginger shampoo and 1 vitamin e cream for dry skin.applied vitamin e moisturing cream just once but it dried up so quickly so thought of returning them.And on 12 december i go to body shop .The sales lady doesnt inform me that if i returned items i will lose my 10 % off thing.otherwise i could have returned everything and made a completely a new purchase. On 10 dec my bill was $90 where they didnt inform me that if i go for body shop card i have to pay $10 extra.Today the sales lady did exchange without letting me know that i lose all perks and even donot get 10% off on the exchange products.I returned vitamin cream $32,vitamin e cream $22 and rose face mask $28 and bought one vitamin e cream for dry skin worth $22 , one ginger shampoo costing $14 and 3 travel packs offace masks cost $5.Along with taxes the amount comes to$41.It was $49 i was to be returned but i was refunded $35.92.It is so unfortunate that a brand like body shop misguides its customers with misleading prices and inadequate iinformation.Hope this review will help other customers out there.

Massively disappointing experience for using the online store for the first time. Consequently due to your inadequacy to deliver a service that I paid for, I will now have to ship the products to my wife at great expense, instead of in my suitcase. No response from emails I have sent after being told to escalate the matter when I rang this morning, and an offer to refund the delivery charge was both patronising and inadequate. Looks like you have lost a new customer . It seems the level of your service and products in highly overated. One unhappy customer and I will make sure I tell as many people as I can! #TheBodyShopDontCareAboutCustmers #PoorCustomerService

Was shopping in the oxford city centre store. Week before xmas only one person serving in a line of four customers waiting to be parted with about 120 pounds and waiting and waiting then the one person serving asked the first person in line if she wanted a store card and started asking her email address and various other questions at that point myself and the lady behind both put the goods back and left never to be seen again went to a shop who valued my custom first and last time in body shop.

I was in ur Penticton store to do Xmas shopping the other day and as a young lady was helping me her manager felt the need to be rude to her while she was doing an excellent job. I believe the young girls name was sam. I am horrified how ur manager treats the staff. This is not the first time I've seen her act this way. I suggest you find a new one soon. Or you will never keep good staff. And I will no longer shop here with her as manager. I'm taking my business to lush

I went into the new body shop at resorts world nec birmingham ,I picked up a bath brush at £10.00 I took it to the till the sales assistant told me if I brought two items I would have 30 percent discount ,or 45pecent on three items ,after looking around I decided I only wanted the bath brush ,the sales assistant went on to tell me I could not purchase just one item .i told her I would not be buying anything then .what sort of company policy is this ,I left the shop feeling discussed body shop you will not be trading for much longer if this is what you do .i will not be using your shop again .and probably plenty of other customers will feel the same as me I will take my trade to someone who want my money.

Loreal ownership generates quality decline

Since L'Oreal bought the Body Shop company in March 2006 it has been very disappointing to watch the quality of service to the consumer decline via obvious money making tactics to extract more cash from the consumer for less quality in product delivery. Eye brow pencils now only come in a pencil that is half the brow colour you want and the other half a pasty whitish "Highlighter" which you don't actually want and have never and will never use unless you are doing some sort of out there theatrical make up. I am not prepared to pay essentially double the price for the eyebrow colour I want and being forced to buy a product/colour I do not want. I certainly will not be buying that product. The body Shop waterproof eye makeup remover was not available for months because it was being " re packaged," so I was constantly told by shop staff. The outcome of which was a screw top bottle of a slightly different shape minus the flip top lid which was so convenient for use. The new non flip top definitely not so! I guess it is cheaper to produce. Not bothered to but that product any more either as there are so many other good brands out there that warrant the price you pay for product and packaging. Good bye Body Shop. The spirit and ethos of Body Shop founder Anita Roddick is not being honoured in shallow money making tactics.

Fraudulent practice on web site

shopping online and offered £25 off any order over £50, and given a code - however nowhere to submit the code; charged full amount and payment taken without bank security check. Tried to call but no one answering out of hours; wrote an email cancelling order; next day got email saying they would try to cancel but may not be able to; called and was told that can only cancel orders if a phone call made within 15 minutes of order- pointed out that this could not happen on a sunday as they had no service. was told they would try to cancel it; then got email saying that they had tried but could not cancel the order - I had to return it; I would get money refund when goods returned. I rang, again, and said that they had said they would try to resolve for me, they were now holding onto my money which had been fraudulently taken and were not refunding. I had called, emailed etc.I asked for CEO email I was told a manager would call within 20 minutes - it is now 40 minutes. and this is meant to be an ethical shop. This can not just be ineptness - must be deliberate

'Lost' my card renewal.

I was a Body Shop customer for over 20 years and love their tea tree line and Unscented choices. Renewed my discount card and came in about a week later to find they had NO RECORD OF ME IN THEIR SYSTEM.

I tried several times to see if the records could be found to no avail. I stopped shopping there. Head office found my initial card membership but no record of the renewal. I recycle and the receipt was long gone.

Poor customer service and zero follow-up.

Lost me as a customer for good. I did speak to the store manager who said without a receipt she would not honour my renewed card.

The exact same thing just happened to me. So, they're not just out the 10% discount for the remainder of the membership term that I paid for (which would have amounted to maybe $10 or $15), but they're now out the thousands I would have spent as a customer in my remaining years. Kind of disappointed, but the products are no longer unique in the market, so I will happily take my business elsewhere.
